david boreanaz a.k.a. angel / angelus
Once, one of the most feared and evil vampires, Angel was cursed to have a soul.
After brooding for a while, he joined up with Buffy to help fight the forces of darkness.
He returned to being Angelus after a night with Buffy, but was then sent to hell by her.
He returned as Angel and then moved to LA so that Buffy could get on with her life and to avoid the chance of a return to Angelus.
He is destined to play a big part in the apocalypse, however it is unknown whether he will be on the side of good or bad.

seth green a.k.a. oz
Daniel "Oz" Osbourne is possibly the most laid back guy ever.
He played guitar for Dingoes Ate My Baby until leaving Sunnydale after he left to find a way to control the werewolf inside (literally - Oz is a werewolf).
He went out with Willow for about a year and a half before leaving Sunnydale. On his brief return, he was so angered by Willow being with Tara that he turned into wolf mode in the middle of the day.
Sensing he still wasn't ready, he left Sunnydale again.

Alexander Lavelle Harris given his full name or 'Xander' as he known has been lifetime best friend of Willow Rosenberg.
Xander has sadly spent a lifetime as a loser in everyone else's opinion.
Xander tried to get away from Sunnydale and go on a trip around the states, but he can never get a break.
On his return to Sunnydale, Xander has got through several jobs and is currently a builder. He is dating Anya while teaching her how to be human and less rude.
He's currently working as a builder/carpenter although he has had several jobs in the last year.

Once a fearsome part of the dream team of vampires - Spike, Dru, Darla & Angelus. Spike has now been domesticated courtesy of the US army and their chip in his brain which stops him from feeding on people.
Spike never wanted to destroy the world unlike the rest of their old gang.
As Spike says "We've got dog racing, Manchester United...and we've got millions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs".

Once an undercover of the top secret Initiative force designed to control demons. Riley quit when he fell in love with Buffy and Maggie Walsh who was in charge, tried to kill Buffy.
Riley was the unfortunate victim of a series of initiative tests, including drugged food and a behaviour modifier being placed in his chest.
Riley overcame all of these obstacles, but is no longer dating buffy.

glenn quinn a.k.a. doyle
An Irish half-human. Allen Francis Doyle was uneasy about his demon-side and tried to hide it whenever possible.
He recieved visions from "The Powers That Be". The reason he was chosen is never said, although Doyle does admit that "We've all got something to atone for".
Doyle had an interesting history that was never really explored, a lifetime of gambling and drinking, however it is known that he was an expert at getting himself into trouble (usually by not paying up).
Cowardly until he met Angel, Doyle got a lot braver in the short period of time he was alive during Angel. His final sacrifice was worthy of the episode title Hero.

Charles Gunn is leader of a street gang that protect their 'hood from vampires.
Gunn's sister was turned by vampires shortly after meeting Angel forcing Gunn to stake her.
Untrusting of Angel at first, Gunn becomes someone Angel turns to when he needs help.
